Lenovo identifies the fast track to the office printing market – Lexmark.

After reporting flat revenues for the past fiscal quarter, Lenovo is looking to broaden its horizons, setting its sights firmly on the printer market. More specifically, Lexmark.

The manufacturer of the current range of Lenovo-branded printers, Lexmark will fast track Lenovo in office printing – a market that has proven to be difficult to penetrate.

The acquisition of Lexmark, formerly part of IBM’s printing arm, would be Lenovo’s second purchase of an IBM division, having taken over IBM’s PC arm in 2005.
